Rep. Brian Poe is a multifaceted leader whose career spans journalism and public service. A former CNN Philippines correspondent who has built a solid academic foundation that bridges governance, security, sustainability and global affairs.

He earned his Doctor of Public Administration from the University of Perpetual Help and his Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) from the National Defense College of the Philippines in June 2024. He also completed the Counterintelligence Course of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA). Internationally, he obtained his Master’s in Climate and Society at Columbia University in New York, where he also completed the “Leadership in Crisis” program at Harvard Kennedy School and pursued studies in Conference Diplomacy and Multilateral Negotiations at the United Nations in Geneva. His commitment to addressing global challenges further led him to serve as a research intern for NASA’s Disaster Applications Team.

In public service, he played a pivotal role as campaign manager for Senator Grace Poe during the 2019 elections, later serving as her Chief of Staff in the Senate. He also leads FPJ Panday Bayanihan, a disaster relief nongovernmental organization, where he channels his advocacy for humanitarian service.

Today, as a member of the House of Representatives and Assistant Majority Floor Leader, Rep. Poe champions the causes of Food, Progress, and Justice—particularly for vulnerable and underserved communities across the Philippines. He is also the author of A Sustainable Future, reflecting his commitment to inclusive development and climate resilience.
